Title: State Heritage Register - Curtilages
Custodian: Department of Planning, Heritage Office
Jurisdiction: New South Wales
This dataset is a work in progress and contains the identified curtilages or boundaries of items listed on the State Heritage Register of NSW. Every item has a andlsquo;centroid andrsquo;
which identifies its approximate location and is particularly useful when a curtilage or boundary has not yet been defined. When a listing on the State Heritage Register applies to a place, building, work, relic, moveable object, precinct, or land, a person must not do any of the following things without appropriate approvals:
(a) demolish the building or work,
(b) damage or despoil the place, precinct or land, or any part of the place, precinct or land,
(c) move, damage or destroy the relic or moveable object,
(d) excavate any land for the purpose of exposing or moving the relic,
(e) carry out any development in relation to the land on which the building, work or relic is situated, the land that comprises the place, or land within the precinct,
(f) alter the building, work, relic or moveable object,
(g) display any notice or advertisement on the place, building, work, relic, moveable object or land, or in the precinct,
(h) damage or destroy any tree or other vegetation on or remove any tree or other vegetation from the place, precinct or land.

- Geographic extent name:
- NEW SOUTH WALES - State or Territory - New South Wales
Note: The format for each Geographic extent name is: Name - Identifier - Category - Jurisdiction (as appropriate)
Geographic bounding box:
The bounding box encloses the maximum extents of the dataset. There may be voids or gaps within the bounding box, depending on the defined coverage of the dataset. Outer bounding rectangle as Latitude/Longitude coordinates based on the WGS84 datum (expressed as both Degrees Minutes Seconds and as decimal Degrees):
- North bounding latitude: 28 00 00.0 S (-28.0)
- South bounding latitude: 37 30 00.0 S (-37.5)
- East bounding longitude: 154 00 00.0 E (154.0)
- West bounding longitude: 141 00 00.0 E (141.0)

ds-version:
ds-vdate:

Lineage:
Created by the Heritage Office to specifically to record the identified curtilages or boundaries of items listed on the State Heritage Register of NSW. Based on the NSW Cadastral Database produced by the Department of Lands.
Positional accuracy:
Dependent on the NSW Cadastral Database as at the date of listing.
Attribute accuracy:
Considered Accurate.
Logical consistency:
All polygons are closed and labelling is dependent on the links to the HOD_SHR.DBF file, based on HeritageItemID.font:
Not all items listed have curtilages (boundaries)
Completeness:
font:
Not all items listed have curtilages (boundaries) therefore the curtilage layer is incomplete and in progress. The Centroids layer and HOD_SHR.DBF file are complete at the Ending date.
