Envalue gives ready access to data on environmental values from more than 400 studies covering air, water and land quality; avoidance of noise and radiation exposure; and recreation and other values for natural areas. Envalue draws on many Australian studies and a broad selection of studies from overseas. All values are converted to $A 1997. Studies can be searched by selecting the required environmental medium, the valuation method and the location. There are three levels of reported information:
(1) Brief summaries which report basic information such as the location of the study, environmental attributes valued, the valuation method and units of measurement
(2) Annotated bibliographies which give further information including a more detailed description of the study site and the environmental conditions
(3) Evaluation criteria which cover method specific matters such as the size of the survey sample and possible sources of bias.
